Horizon School: Official Partner School of BSix Sixth Form College
On Monday, 6th December Duncan Melvin, Senior Leader at Horizon School attended BSix Sixth Form College to meet with Ken Warman, Principal of BSix and Hilary Moore, Head of Department for Gateway in order to celebrate and sign the official partner school agreement. Duncan said,
“I really like BSix College and I think that it works for some of our students. Lee and others have done so well at BSix and it is due to the great teaching, the environment and the students’ growing confidence and further belief in themselves once they have come to you from us at Horizon. Each and every student I have worked with at Horizon who has moved onto you has done well in various ways and I am so pleased that we have maintained and built this link.”
This event was particularly significant for Duncan as it is also part of the legacy that he leaves behind as he is soon due to move away from London after 14 years at Horizon school. As I walked through the canteen with him it was heart-warming to see several of his alumni students spot him and hurry over to speak with him before he left. I would like to extend my thanks on behalf of BSix to Duncan for all the work he has put into setting up this partnership and we all wish him well for the future.
