New Facilities at BSix

The improvements in the facilities at BSix continue apace. Our refurbished kitchen, now entitled Diversity, is booming as a result of its award-winning food. Students enjoy their drinks and meals in the canteen with its new floor and (rapidly growing) palm trees.

When the weather is fair, many students choose to relax in The Garden of the Ancient World. Ancient Greece and Egypt are already up and running. India, China, the Americas and Rome are due very soon. The Roman glade, complete with a bust of Julius Caesar, is about to open.

Looking out on the Garden is the Red Room, designed to reproduce the Oxbridge atmosphere on the premises on BSix. It is furnished with antiques ad is full of books. It will house leading academics who will deliver the Raising Aspirations programme, give one-to-one advice, hold seminars and give lectures.

The Village is our new building. It has two floors and contains a Professional development Centre, a studio for our Art Foundation course, Student Services and four very spacious teaching rooms. Three new teaching rooms have also been created in the existing building.

.......and there is more to come. The Library and the ICT suite and teaching rooms are going to be completely refurbished in early 2012.

"We are so pleased with these developments", says Ken Warman, the College's Principal. "We are able to do all of this because of the hard work and success of our students and staff. It is wonderful that we can offer these kind of facilities for our students, staff and the wider community to enjoy".

Note: Our facilities and catering are available for hire for weddings and events. Please contact info@bsix.ac.uk for further details.
