BSix students Oxbridge-bound

Two BSix students have been offered places to study at Oxbridge. Ibrahim Mohamed has been offered a place to study Human, Social and Political Sciences at Wolfson College Cambridge. His offer is unconditional because he achieved A*, A*, A in his A Level exams in August last year. Ibrahim is currently working at BSix giving advice and guidance to students and providing extra tuition in Sociology. Ibrahim is featured in the most recent BSix Newsletter which can be downloaded here and from the home page of the website.

Ibrahim Mohamed & Barkhadle Yusuf

Barkhadle Yusuf is currently studying in the second year of his A Levels at BSix. He has been offered a place to study History at Pembroke College Oxford.

Nik Higgins, Head of Learning Beyond the Classroom at the College, says: "I am delighted for Ibs and Barkha. This is not only a great personal achievement for them but is also a powerful message to all our students: it can be done. They are model students: well-organised, hard-working and possessed of an unquenchable thirst for learning. They have made full use of all the opportunities open to them at the College such as the Pem-Brooke programme which is an academic Humanities course run in conjunction with Pembroke College Oxford. As highly committed students who love learning, we have no doubt that they will flourish at Oxbridge.”

Here are filmed interviews with Ibrahim and Barkhadle. See what they have to say about their hopes and aspirations and about their experiences here at BSix.
