"The 2011 winner of the Outstanding Provider of the Year did not rest on its laurels. But then it needed to come up with something special to win what was perhaps the most hard-fought category in this year's TES FE Awards. BSix's unique partnership, with Pembroke College Oxford, certainly fitted the bill. it was one of the most innovative programmes for widening participation at top universities that the judges had seen."

Welcome to the BSix website. It is designed to give you a realistic insight into the purpose, ethos and day-to-day life of the College. I strongly recommend that you join our Facebook facility because it will give you plenty of news and information about the many events and programmes happening here at BSix.

BSix is proud to be a comprehensive sixth form college offering courses in a wide range of subjects and at all levels. We believe that all young people can achieve high standards. We are big enough to offer such a breadth of courses but also small enough to give our students individual care, encouragement and attention.

This approach has become increasingly acknowledged in the education sector. It is reflected in the string of awards given to the College in recent years. Our students also appreciate the quality of the everyday classroom experience and share our commitment to equality and diversity.

BSix is a safe, stimulating and exciting college to study and work. It is a place dedicated to the highest possible standards and success for each and every one of its students.

This website is a genuine representation of the vibrancy and energy we experience everyday at BSix.

Best wishes

Ken Warman
Principal

Principal of BSix since October 2006.  Ken Warman has a reputation for improving colleges in London.  He re-launched the A Level/GCSE department at Uxbridge College as the Uxbridge College Academy in 1998, improving the results by 20% in two years.  In his last post, as Head of Sixth Form at Tower Hamlets College, Ken led a 15-20% improvement in achievement at all levels, from entry to advanced, which largely contributed to the college being awarded beacon status in 2005.
