A Level Law Package
Think you have to do A Level Law to go on and study a degree in it? Not necessarily. Law is a popular degree that is normally open to you with any A Levels. However, certain A Level choices will help prepare you for Law at degree level, and may give you an edge
over other applicants.
Churchill College, Cambridge states: ‘Though we do not frown upon the taking of Law at A-level, we do not in any way require it or even recommend it.’
Therefore, any student at BSix who aspires to study Law at university will be enrolled onto A Level English Language and Literature and A Level History, which are the two most relevant subjects for studying Law at degree level. There will be a programme of Law-related activities such as guest lectures and work experience in order to give you a sense of what a career in Law involves and strengthen your application to university.
This pathway will take up two of your A Level options so you will still need to select additional A Level subject(s).
