A2 Level Mathematics
This course builds on topics covered in GCSE Maths. If you enjoy a challenge and enjoy solving problems this is a great A Level for you. You will study Pure Maths - Algebra, Graphs, Functions, Trigonometry, Calculus, Vectors and similar topics which are quite abstract. There are two of these core units each year.
You will also study one Statistics unit each year. Statistics is about Probability and ways of handling and analysing data. Students
who do well at maths can gain entry to a very wide range of university courses. A small number of students may be able to study AS Further Maths over 18 months.
