Creative and Media Diploma (Level 3)
This is an exciting new course developed with the support of employers in the arts industry. It will offer students an exploration of the creative arts in its broadest sense, with opportunities for real ‘hands on’ experience and insight through work related learning. Students on this course will become creative thinkers, effective communicators and flexible enterprising practitioners. The Diploma will provide choices for young people who wish to learn more about the creative and media industries, while also exploring creativity and the creative application of skills within a flexible programme that enables them to pursue other areas of interest. This is a freestanding qualification which focuses on developing knowledge, understanding and skills that are relevant to the arts industry and applying these to work-based situations. It emphasises learning through the practical application of knowledge, understanding and skills to relevant work experience and work-related tasks, problems and contexts. The advanced Diploma includes the following units: capture, show, interaction, commission, evaluation and investigation.
