First Diploma in Health & Social Care (Level 2)
This one year course is intended to provide you with a knowledge of the health and care services, enabling you to investigate a range of areas for study. On this course you will also gain an understanding and the skills required for future practice and employment in health and/or care. You will be required to complete work placements as part of the course, as well as homework. You will study six units, two of which are compulsory: communication and individual rights within the health and social care sectors and individual needs within the health and social care sectors. The four optional units you will study are: vocational experience in a health or social care setting, cultural diversity in health and social care, anatomy and physiology for health and social care, the impact of diet on health.
