Introductory Diploma in Art & Media

In this course you will work both independently and as part of a team. You will also develop the skills to work professionally and to make the most of your creativity.

What will I be doing?
You will study six core units:

• exploring visual language
  
• exploring materials, technologies,
  
• techniques and processes
  
• introduction to video production
  
• introduction to multimedia
  
• exploring and developing Ideas
  
• carry out a personal project
  

How will I be assessed?
This course is entirely coursework-based. Note that your course units are externally assessed. This means that an examiner will visit BSix and assess your work.

Where do I go from here?
This course will give you the skills to be able to study any of the BTEC First courses at BSix. In particular, you will be best prepared for the Creative & Media Higher Diploma or the BTEC First in Art & Design.

Entry requirements
Four GCSEs at grade E and you will need to demonstrate an interest in the Arts and Media, and in developing your creative skills.
