National Diploma in Children’s Care, Learning and Development (Level 3)
The BTEC National Diploma is a practical, work-related course that will provide you with an understanding of children’s early development, care and education. You will complete projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations and
activities, as well as learn about the employment area related to care and education in the early years. This qualification carries a licence to practice for working with young children. You will study a combination of specialist units and seven core units. The core
units include: positive relationships for children’s care, learning and development, positive environments for children’s care learning and development, promoting children’s development, reflecting on and developing practice for children, safeguarding children, promoting children’s rights and children’s learning activities and play.
