Overview
For those of you who wish to learn beauty therapy skills and enjoy meeting people, this course is ideal. It is a practical-based programme and you will also learn about the sciences related to the different aspects of beauty therapy as well as customer service and health and safety. You will be working with clients in a realistic salon environment. In addition to this, you will be required to purchase your uniform and additional equipment to enable practical study. Details of this will be discussed at your interview for a place at BSix. The course allows you to gain the necessary skills to develop your studies further or begin your career. Subjects include: manicure and pedicure, facials, application of make-up, salon health and safety, reception skills, product knowledge / customer service and waxing. You will also be required to attend a two week block placement during term 3.
