BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Public Services

Public services are at the very heart of our community. Those who pursue a career within one of the uniformed services will be fulfilling a vital role in society.

The BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Public services provides a variety of career opportunities within many community or emergency-related organisations.

The course helps students gain a clear insight into a variety of public service - related careers.

Students will cover core subjects including, Public Services Skills, Career Planning for the Public Services & Improving Health & Fitness for the Uniformed Public Services.

On completion of the course, students will have the opportunity to go on to level 3 to study various courses, including the BTEC Level 3 in Public Services, Health & Social Care, Sports. From here you would be able to progress into the world of work as the next police officer, fire fighter, armed forces personnel, immigration officer, social services worker, youth worker or teacher.

The entry requirements:
You will need:-

• 4 GCSEs at grade D or
• A BTEC Introductory Diploma at Merit or above
