Overview
This course will provide you with a real alternative to studying GCSEs. It offers a different progression route to further education and ultimately university. During the year you will study a mixture of core and specialist units. The course covers the areas of Chemistry, Physics and Biology and maintains a strong applied focus. Success on the course depends on your completion of assignments. The key benefit of the BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Applied Science is that each assignment completed will be graded shortly after completion, with teacher feedback to help you improve, if you have not made the grade first time. It will then be possible for you to monitor your own progress. You will be supported by your teachers and tutor throughout the course. Targets will be set and suggestions made on how to improve your grades.
