BSix serves an incredibly diverse community of students. Students come from a wide range of nationalities, ethnicities, religions, and cultural backgrounds. The college attempts to highlight this diversity and engage with it in a direct and celebratory manner. Roger Kendrick, Learning Beyond the Classroom Coordinator (Diversity and Student Union), is responsible for a year-long programme of cultural events and celebrations. These events are hosted in the canteen, and include performers, speakers, and academic talks and lectures.

In addition to these cultural celebrations, BSix offers a varied programme of extra-curricular clubs and societies, and hosts a visible and active student union.
