What barriers do you have towards learning and access to social activities?
I cannot access some venues due to them not having access for my wheelchair. Also, the barriers to learning that I experience are that I find it difficult to write and express myself

BTEC First Diploma in Music Technology Level 2

What did you manage to achieve at BSix?
BTEC First Diploma in Music Technology Level 2 (Pass Grade)

What activities do you do outside College?
I go to the gym on a Saturday morning. Also, I relax and watch Television.

What do like to do when you leave BSix College?
I would like to do an apprenticeship in Information Technology (IT)

My aim is:
My aim is to work full time so that I can be independent

Imagine if someone could open any door for you, where would you see yourself in 2 years’ time?
I would have a family and a job full time doing administration work for the Metropolitan Police Service

Tell us 2 things you really enjoyed being a student at BSix:

The things I enjoyed most about being a student at BSix are; the events like the Prom, Valentines, Christmas and the Music Technology events at the end of the year. Also, having friends is what I enjoyed at BSix College.

What course did you take at BSix College?
I did BTEC Music Technology Diploma at Level 2 and Level 3 as well as Functional Skills English

What barriers do you have towards learning and access to social activities?
What I found difficult with my learning is structuring of sentences. I also found it difficult asking my peers for help and this made me rely more on the support staff and myself.

What did you manage to achieve at BSix College?
I learnt to play the drums. Passing my exams and completing my course work. I also kept a good attendance record and was always punctual for my lessons.

What activities do you do outside of BSix College?
I don’t really do a lot, but spend time with my family.

What would you like to do when you leave BSix College?
I will be attending the University of East London to study Music Production

What are your short/long term objectives?
To complete my university degree and to get a job in the music industry composing.

Why do you want to do a degree?
I am doing my degree to learn more about music and working in the industry and to meet people.

What you would like to ask someone from a Business/Organisation who might be reading this profile and how they can help you with it?
I would ask them what they think I should do to improve on my profile.

If you had the opportunity to achieve your goals, where would you see yourself in 2 years’ time?
If someone gave me the right opportunity to achieve my goals I hope that in 2 years’ time I am writing and producing my own music

Is there anything you would like to say about yourself?
I am a kind and gentle person. I find it difficult in social situations but I am working on it. I often help during the college open evenings. I also enjoy playing the drums and talking to friends on Facebook.

Tell us two things you have really enjoyed whilst being a student at BSix College?

I really enjoyed the Monday music clubs. I also enjoy playing instruments, especially the drums.

Difficulty in interacting with other people

What course did you take at BSix College: BTEC Extended Diploma in IT Level 3

What did you manage to achieve at BSix:
BTEC Level 3 in IT, FS level 2 English (writing paper), awaiting GCSE Maths result still needs to do FS level 2 English reading

What activities do you do outside College?
Spending time with friends

What would you like to do when you leave BSix College?
To attend university and gain work experience and then I would like to work in a games company

My aim is:
To design and develop games and to design in 3 dimensions. Video games have always inspired me since I was a child.  I am interested in how games are designed e.g. Special effects & graphics.

Where do you see yourself in 2 years’ time? 
I see myself as a professional programmer and developer

Is there anything you would like to say about yourself? 
I am a kind person who is quiet
