About The Course

The level 2 Diploma Introducing Caring for Children provides the student with the opportunity to study a range of topics from three main areas. These include: Childcare and education, babysitting and parenting responsibilities.

As part of this course, you will learn through practical application by undertaking an industry work placement. The placement will be in a range of nursery and childcare settings to allow you to work with different age groups.

How Is The Course Taught?

The course will be taught within a variety of learning environments, ranging from our fully equipped bright and colourful nursery classroom, the LRC, think tank and our classrooms in our computer suite. The course is taught by two members of staff with extensive childcare experience.

How will I be Assessed?

There are many ways in which assessment takes place, this is from typed assignments, questions and answers, professional discussions and group work such as posters and presentations.

You will also be assessed through practical assessments in your work placement undertaken by industry employers and your tutor. There are no exams within this course.

What does it lead to?

The course will allow you to progress to CACHE Technical Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education. It will also provide you with the next steps in regard to different roles
