About The Course

This Creative Media Production and Technology Course will help you develop the core audio, visual and interactive skills needed for Filmmaking and Photography.

You will learn how to understand your audience, research and generate ideas, capture footage and edit, understand moving image creation and develop websites. This course will also help you to build strong digital design skills using a host of creative software packages.

You’ll also promote your own work and understand the underlying need for narrative and storytelling.

You will then have the chance to build a portfolio of work showcasing your skills.

The course is accredited by the University of the Arts London (UAL) Awarding Body – a specialist awarding body offering up-to-date qualifications in the creative industries.

How is The Course Taught?

Learning is through classroom delivery in our dedicated iMac suites, professional studios and immersive learning environments where you will be able to explore VR and AR Technology. You will also experience workshops delivered by industry professionals, gallery visits and work placements.

You will have access to: Full suite of Cannon Digital SLR and 360° Cameras; Full range of specialist filming equipment such as track and dolly, camera jib, green screen and multi camera technology; Photography Studio and Lighting; Full Adobe Suite Package including Premier, Photoshop and After Effects, Games Development software such as Construct 3, Unity, Piskel and Blender.

How will I be Assessed?

The qualification is 100% coursework which is internally assessed, with the final major project in the summer term externally moderated by the awarding body. You will be given supportive, developmental feedback from tutors which you will use to develop and improve your skills.

What does it lead to?

On completion of one of these courses, you can progress onto one of our Level 3 Creative Diplomas. This can then lead onto a university degree, apprenticeship and potential career opportunities within industries such as TV, Film, Games Design, Concept design, Animation, Photography, Journalism and Advertising.
