Enrolment Information

Please read the information below to prepare for your visit. The information includes dates and times for enrolment, as well as what to bring with you 

Choose the correct schedule below based on whether you are a 16-18 learner, an adult learner (19+), or an adult ESOL learner (19+).

Whether you are a 16-18 year old or an adult learner, we have the perfect course for you to start this September.

Important Information

Please note places are offered on a first come first served basis. Your place is not confirmed until you have completed enrolment.  Many courses are full or at capacity.

Enrolment opening hours are outlined below.

Our final date for enrolment is Wednesday 18th September 2024 between 13:00 – 19:00.

How To Enrol

Be prepared

You will need: 16-18yrs

  • Your exam results
  • A reference or year 11 report from your school to support your application – if not provided previously
  • A form of photo ID – a Passport, Oyster card, provisional/driving licence etc

If you do not hold a British Passport or British Birth Certificate, you will also need to bring your passport and your Home Office documentation
(including your ShareCode)

You will need: 19+ yrs

  • ID – We will need to see a form of ID. For example, a passport, driving licence, bank statement, benefit paperwork etc.
  • National Insurance Number
  • Immigration / Residency Status – If you do not hold a British Passport or British Birth Certificate, we will need to see your passport / BRP Card / Home Office document/ EU settled status information. If you are on a Spouse Visa or any other type of family dependent visa, we will need to see the passport / BRP card of the family member as well. If your Biometric Resident Permit / Visa expires before the end of the course, we will need to see your evisa (via a share code) or letter from solicitor that you intend to or have re-applied for your visa.
  • Proof of income – We will need to see either payslips, a contract of employment or bank statements. Please note, this is applicable to all adults.
  • Proof of Qualifications – Please bring with you proof of all achieved qualifications (certificates, exam results). This includes Functional Skills English, Maths, ESOL or any other qualification you have achieved.
  • Membership fee – All adults aged 19+ will be required to pay a £30 college membership fee. Payments can only be made by debit/credit card, we do not accept cash.

Please note, you can show us proof of income and immigration on your phone – it does not need to be paper copies.

Enrolment FAQs

I’ve been offered a place but can I change my subjects?

Yes you can change your subjects, please bring your results and speak to a member of our experienced curriculum team.

I did not apply to your college what shall I do?

If you would like to enrol at BSix College, please come along on any of the enrolment days and remember to bring your results and eligibility documents.

I did not get my grades what shall I do?

Don’t worry, you can collect your grades and return to enrol as we will be open on these days.

I can't make enrolment, can someone enrol on my behalf?

Unfortunately we do not offer this service, with the new GDPR guidelines, it is important that you understand and sign for your own enrolment and programme of study.

Can I bring my family members?

Please do not bring young children or anyone else with you (unless they are enrolling too). However, should you need assistance at enrolment, just let our staff know on arrival.

I can't make enrolment can you reserve me a place?

Unfortunately we are unable to reserve places, as soon as you are available please come to BSix and we will support you to enol on a suitable course that is available.

Can I come in without my results?

Unfortunately we need to see your results to be able to enrol you on the right course and level.

I have been away on holiday what should I do?

Please come to BSix on any of the enrolment days and remember to bring all necessary documents.

Can I retake or restart my A Levels?

We will look at this on a case by case scenario. Come to enrolment to discuss your options with a member of our experienced curriculum team.

Can I study A Levels alongside a BTEC?

You can study mixed vocational Subsidiary Diplomas and A Levels, please look at our prospectus or view our course list for which Subsidiary Diplomas we offer.

I am an overseas student, I did my education abroad.

You will need to bring your results from your school and your original passport. We will give you an English and Maths assessment to determine your current level and then help you choose an appropriate course of study. We may also compare your results to UK qualifications to enrol you on the right level.

I am 19 or older and want to enrol for A Levels or BTECs.

If you have NOT achieved a Level 3 qualification, you may be eligible for enrolment. Please come along to one of our enrolment days and speak to a manager.

I am 19 or older and want to enrol on Maths or English GCSE.

Our team will provide you with an entrance test to assess your suitability to retake GCSE courses.

I am home schooled or have a nonstandard education.

Please come and talk to our experienced curriculum team to discuss your options. Bring any results you may have.
