Key Information

Working in partnership with the parents and families of our students

BSix Sixth Form College values working in partnership with the parents and families of our students. By working together we will be better able to support, stretch and challenge your young person to reach their full potential.

We make sure that all students are welcomed to the college and feel safe and secure to ensure an ideal environment for study and learning.

The College values all of its members equally, celebrates diversity and does not tolerate discrimination, bullying or harassment of any kind.

Ofsted 2018

"Governors, leaders and staff at all levels ensure that the college is a welcoming and vibrant place in which to study and learn. When they join the college, students quickly settle and adopt the values of BSix"

The Tutorial System

Every student has a personal Tutor and they will be the main point of contact with parents and families. Once your son or daughter has enrolled, you will be contacted by their tutor as way of introduction. To facilitate clear communications we would appreciate that you keep us informed of any change of contact details.

We hold a Parents Welcome evening towards the end of September and there are also Parents’ Evenings that take place twice a year. Please see ‘Key Dates’ for the 2018/19 Parents events.

We will also be planning a series of Parents workshops that may be of interest to you. We will share this information with you at the Parents Welcome Evening.

The Student Study Programme

Each student is enrolled on to an individually tailored study programme, the heart of which is the Tutorial. The tutor will make sure that your child has a flexible study programme to meet their needs. The key elements of this are:

  • Core qualification(s)
  • English and Mathematics
  • Work-related learning
  • Enrichment

Data Protection

At BSix Brooke House Sixth Form College we will process a range of information about our students. This will commence with the processing of application forms and continue throughout the student’s time with us. We will do this in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the College’s own Data Protection Policy.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

We look forward to sharing in your young persons’ BSix journey.
