Music Performance and Production

If you use computers to make music or play an instrument then music technology is the course for you.

You will be taught a wide range of skills including SERATO DJing, ABLETON Live for performance, LOGIC PRO Production and popular music band practice.

You will be exposed to the latest industry equipment including AKAI drum pad controllers, NUMARK Serato turntables, two suites of iMacs with a range of music and multimedia software.

You will also learn how to use the recording studio and work with a range of microphones and outboard equipment.

The Music Performance & Production courses at BSix are designed to teach you all elements of music so that you can progress onto university, an apprenticeship or into employment. We have established strong progression links with a wide range of universities including Point Blank Music School, UEL and BIMM Institute.

You will also have opportunities to work with industry professionals and companies on live project briefs, whilst undertaking industry-based work experience and mentoring. All students in the Creative Arts department will get the opportunity to perform in a public event, based in Hackney.
