COVID Testing Staff (x3)
BSix Sixth Form College COVID testing staff
The government is introducing COVID testing for staff and students at schools and colleges. BSix is seeking testing staff. The College has approximately 1,500 students and staff who, under current guidance, will require weekly testing for COVID. Swab tests will be self-administered, but the test kits will need to be dispensed, collected and processed by testing staff. Students and staff will need to be marshalled through the test process and their attendance and results will need to be recorded.
There are a number of roles and tasks within the testing team. The test process tasks will be undertaken by COVID Testing Officers, but a Testing Lead and Co-ordinators will also be required for each testing session.
As COVID testing is new to schools and colleges, the weekly hours and duration of the testing itself have yet to be determined, but there will be flexibility. However, testing staff will be asked to commit to a minimum of 3 hours for each day worked.
Remuneration will be paid at the following rates:
COVID Testing Officers £10 per hour
COVID Testing Co-ordinators £13 per hour
COVID Testing Leads £15 per hour
Application method:
If you wish to be considered for the roles, can you please write to the HR Officer by letter or email. You should include the following: why you want the role, what qualities or skills you have to offer, what hours and days you can offer, a brief description of the level of your education, a brief description of your work experience.
