Business and Enterprise
Our Business and Enterprise partnerships
Employability and Enterprise provision is an important area for the academic development of our students. It also contributes to BSix’s comprehensive ethos. Developing practical employability skills and opening up new employment opportunities can, alongside a strong emphasis on academic study, help our students to navigate the labour market and, most importantly, bolster their long-term chances of being socially mobile.
Some of our activities are:
- Finding opportunities for students to get into part time jobs, mentoring and coaching
- Organising speakers from the world of work
- Managing workplace visits and work experience provision
- Organising Work ‘taster’ events
- Organising Apprenticeship provider speakers to talk to students
- Organising for students to attend Career networking events
- Organising trips to open days at higher education (HE) institutions
Our key partner for our work placements and work-related learning is Inspire! the Education and Business Partenrship for Hackney. We are also part of the Careers Collaborative and the Careers Cluster programme for Hackney.
